Events Program Manager
Full-time

About Playground:

Playground is working to make excellent child care accessible to all. Playground has built best in class software to manage all aspects of running a child care business. We believe that providers should focus on providing incredible child care — the kind of work that only people can do — and that software should manage the rest. We’re building the child care management platform that eliminates the administrative work of running a center.

Playground is at an inflection point and poised for rapid growth. We recently raised millions of dollars, secured several statewide contracts, and are working with thousands of schools across the country. Our founders were recently honored as Forbes 30 Under 30.

We are a team of owners, unafraid to dive into large, complex projects. If you're excited about helping build Playground’s account management organization and joining a collaborative, high-growth startup, we want to hear from you!

About the Role:

Playground is at an important phase of growth and this role is responsible for managing and executing the in-person and virtual event strategy, with a direct impact on lead generation, and ultimately new customer acquisition. Combining both creative, analytical, and organizational skills, you’ll play a foundational role in establishing our visual identity for both online and offline events, working to elevate the Playground experience and the effectiveness of the events we attend and host. As the Events Program Manager, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end execution of our event strategy - from ideation, sourcing, preparation, execution, and reporting - working closely with all members of the marketing team to expand the function. As one of the foundational members of our marketing team, you’ll have a direct influence on the company’s growth during this exciting stage. If you thrive in an ambitious, fast-growing startup and are ready to take ownership of creative, high-impact projects, this role is for you.

What You'll Do:

  • Work collaboratively in an in-person first environment with Playgrounds’ internal marketing team including content, paid media, partnerships, and marketing operations.
  • Lead our in-person engagements by planning events, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Define the in-person Playground experience – How we look, feel, sound, and show up for various events.
  • Develop a repeatable, annual content calendar and source all events within early childhood education.
  • Manage the calendar of events and schedule internal attendees to ensure timelines are met.
  • Lead our virtual event and webinar strategy – from planning to execution.
  • Act as the external point of contact for event hosts, vendors, sponsors, and partners involved in events and webinars.
  • Work with Marketing and Sales team members to improve conversion rates from webinar attendee to customer.
  • Manage the projects needed to host and drive success from webinars, pulling in relevant contributors to realize your vision.
  • Find creative ways to improve our current processes for our hosted events, webinars, and conferences.

Here’s your opportunity to work directly with co-founders and top contributors, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. Your work will directly shape our success, giving you the chance to lead, grow, and make your mark on an industry-changing team—be part of something career-defining!
