The London Society, The Architecture Club and the City Architecture Forum are looking for a freelance Membership and Events Manager to work individually for each of the organisations. The role evolved from one outstanding person, who was responsible for supporting the three small members groups who have limited budgets but big ambitions. Sadly, she is relocating to New Zealand and will be sorely missed.
Whilst the job description covers membership management, administration, and events management, inevitably there are other aspects that ensure the smooth running of each group. The organisations are distinct but they have many overlapping themes and the successful candidate will be able to work across the three, leveraging the common networks and contacts within the built environment.
The individual will be able to work from home but based within easy access to London as on the ground support at events is a vital part of the role.
Key skills include:
Demonstrate successful event management skills including budget setting and management
Understand the nature of working with charitable organisations and volunteers
Demonstrate success with administrative tasks
Be able to work both collaboratively and independently
High level of initiative and problem-solving skills
Excellent customer service skills to ensure that members needs are met
The annual combined budget available from the three organisations is circa £35,000.
